Notes
The original version by British singer/songwriter, Chris Rea is now a cosy, perennial Christmas staple. However, Saint Etienne took the original sentiment of the song (i.e: of a man literally driving home for Christmas to see his family and friends) and gave it a darker twist. The ambulance sirens at the end of this cover version suggest the driver never did make it home. (Adchelle)
