Instrumental
The first two notes sound unnervingly like the start of Abba's SOS, so deep were we into the Swedish mindset. The rest of it sounds more like a scene from Twin Peaks; maybe it's playing in the background at the Double R Diner, on a Wednesday evening, when Big Ed walks in. (Sarah, Bob, and Pete, April 2022)
Fans have alluded that Cat Nap sounds like a variation of the P.J. Proby's cover of Elvis Presley's song 'Don't' written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Don't was produced by Saint Etienne's Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs. Programming & Keyboards were by Bob, Pete, and Ian Catt. Don't was included on Proby's Legend album released in 1997.
